Like a rollercoaster dipping, weaving, and climbing, my life is exhilarating, yet seemingly always on the brink of falling apart. At age 14, I am living life to the extreme, yet balancing it with confidence and optimism to stay afloat. My name is Grant S, and I go to high school. I am always hanging out with my friends, or listening to my iPod. I am constantly laughing, and love to have fun doing anything from chatting to riding my dirt bike or BMX bike.
As a freshman here, I have compiled a set of goals for high school and beyond, organized into four categories; social, sports, life, and school.
In the social aspect, it is my goal to be friendly to everyone, and to treat everyone equally, no matter what race or intellect, because we are all the same inside. Secondly, I want to meet loads of new people in high school, college, and my life after school. Lastly, I want to always make an effort to comfort and lend a helping hand to people when they are sad, depressed or in any way needing of help.
In the sports aspect, I want to make the Junior Varsity Soccer team at BHS, which will be tough, but I believe I can achieve it. Secondly, I want to work out more consistently and run distance more often, to better my physical condition.
In my life after school, it is my goal to find a good paying, rewarding, but most of all, fun job. Next, I want to support a family, and never let them down. Also, I want to save money, and spend it wisely, not on pointless things that I have no need for. I also want to make an investment in an electric-powered car, knowing that I did a good thing for our planet. But most of all, I want to have fun, and live not to regret a thing.
School is an important matter to me, because a good education can open the doors to a brighter future, and my most important goals are in this category. First, it is my goal to pass every class, high school or college, with at least a 3.5 Grade Point Average. Next, it is my goal to study for every test, and not procrastinate, completing projects as quickly as possible. Also, it is my goal to never get a detention, no matter what reason. But most of all, as a student, sports player, friend, and person, I want to have fun, work hard, and always do my best.
